Chichén Itzá | Mexico

Deeply in love with this country and its fascinating history and people. Here is a snapshot of Chichén Itzá (I like how it sounds!).

We drove from Cancun to Chichén Itzá. The trip itself was awesome – Mexico ist just blessed with unbelievably beautiful landscape (and not only that as you can imagine). We arrived there in the burning heat. My ears almost burned off at 39 degrees. 😉 Armed with a huge bottle of cold water we walked around the archeological site getting deeper and deeper into Mexico’s rich history.

Chichén Itzá is one of the most important Maya sites in the Mexican state of Yucatan. The site covers at least an area of five square kilometres. The best known and at the same time most impressive building is El Castillo.

Worlds won’t do justice…
